A world class goalkeeper and a world class striker, the ultimate difference between success and failure.
And I think Mick has every right to be frustrated at some calamitous defending that gifted Chelsea their two goals.
All game the Wolves players did well to track the Chelsea player’s movement and look to have strangled the game as they did recently against Liverpool.
But switch off for a second in this league and you get punished and strikers like Drogba don’t often waste chances.
On the plus side; the south bank were in magnificent form and the players will always get good support from the terraces when they are giving their all on the pitch.
Adlene Guedioura again showed he wasn’t afraid to have a go and showed unbelievable tekkers with that volleyed shot that was palmed away by Petr Cech.
I thought Ronald Zubar was our best player and Mick should seriously consider switching him into the centre of defence in place of Berra, dropping Foley back where he belongs and then putting a fit again Edwards back on the right flank.
It’s our lack of pace in the middle of defence that has cost us dear this season and with goals at such a shortage at the other end; we need to someone quicker that Berra to cope with the Premiership strikers.
Doyle was absolutely incredible yet again and had Terry in his pocket for most of the game. If we had another striker at the club who was even worthy of cleaning Doyle’s boots, then we could be turning these nearly games into three points.
Results ran kindly for Wolves over the weekend, but next week’s game at the Reebok is one of those must not lose games and hopefully we can turn our recent good form into three points.
